We greatly appreciate your taking time out of your busy schedule to participate in Lobby Day 2105: Raising Our Voices For Change on April 23. Don't underestimate the significance of your presence. The focus of Lobby Day 2015 includes issues that are of great importance to employee rights advocates, their clients, and the fair administration of justice: promoting tax fairness for workers in employment and civil rights cases, opposing forced arbitration of employment disputes, and advocating for an independent federal judiciary that reflects the rich experiential diversity of the legal community and does not place the interests of employers over the rights of employees. There may be an opportunity for some Lobby Day participants to meet with their legislators on other NELA priorities, and the NELA Staff will contact you if the occasion arises.
Why is it so important that you are coming to Washington? We need your involvement to make gains for America's workers and to ensure that the progress we have already made to protect all of America's workers will not be eroded in the 114th Congress. Together, we must continue to fight for equality and justice in the American workplace in what know is a challenging time to advance workers' rights.
NELA members and their clients enjoy Lobby Day because it is inspiring, fun, and they are making a difference on behalf of America's workers. Below are some comments from past Lobby Day participants:
Lobby Day works. We need to win our legislative objectives, so it is important that we keep plugging away.
Could not have been a better experience.
I could not have been more impressed with my first lobbying experience.
