Choose How You Learn

Trial Boot Camp Advocates

Trial Boot Camp Advocates will be assigned to a Trial Team of four Advocates based on their level of trial experience, which will be led by a Trial Team Leader. Advocates will act as plaintiff and defense counsel and witnesses during two three-hour mock trials, including presenting an opening statement, conducting direct and cross-examinations, and delivering a closing argument, followed by a critique. Intensive preparation and participation is required of Advocates both before and during the three-day Boot Camp.

Trial Boot Campers

Individuals who are interested in learning and acquiring trial advocacy skills by attending the sessions but who do not wish to participate actively as Trial Boot Camp Advocates may register as Trial Boot Campers. Campers will be assigned to Trial Teams based on level of experience.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations for the seminar must be submitted in writing to NELA. Registrants who cancel in writing on or before September 29, 2017 will receive a refund minus a $50 administrative charge. Those who cancel after this date and no-show registrants will not receive a refund, but will have access to the online seminar manual.
