Bio

ELIZABETH A. RODGERS is a founding partner of Rodgers, Powers & Schwartz LLP, an eight-attorney Boston law firm that specializes in employment litigation. Ms. Rodgers, is known both as a zealous litigator and for resolving complaints with creative and zealous investigation and negotiation. After twenty years of litigating both tort and employment law, she now concentrates solely on employment law. She represents sophisticated executives, in complex transitional conflicts, as well as victims of retaliation, sexual harassment and discrimination by prominent and powerful offenders, corporations and organizations. Since 2005, she has authored chapters on wage law for MCLE, and as President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association for 2007 and 2008, led that organization to successfully lobby for the passing of an amendment restoring mandatory treble damages in wage cases. She has been recognized by national and local bodies, inducted into the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, selected as a Super Lawyer in Labor and Employment in every year from 2004-2012, has held an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell since 1992, and was included in the Inaugural Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers in 2011. She has been a frequent faculty member and author in national, regional and local bar association conferences, and serves on committees organizing such events. She is a graduate of Wellesley College (B.A., 1969), London School of Economics (M.S.C., 1971), and Northeastern School of Law (J.D., 1976).
