Bio

Richard M. Schall, a partner in the law firm of Schall & Barasch L.L.C. of Moorestown, New Jersey, devotes his legal practice to representing individual plaintiffs in employment rights litigation, including cases arising under the federal and state laws against discrimination, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the state Conscientious Employee Protection Act and state contract law. He has also been very active in litigating cases on behalf of employees seeking relief from oppressive non-compete agreements. Mr. Schall served for four years (2000-2004) as President of the NELA-NJ, the state-wide affiliate of NELA. He is a 2003 graduate of the Trial Lawyers’ College, led by Gerry Spence at his ranch in Wyoming. He received his B.A. from Swarthmore College in 1971; his M.A. in Labor Studies from Rutgers University in 1984; and his J.D. from New York University in 1987, where he was a Root-Tilden Scholar. He has taught both Legal Research and Writing and Labor Law at Rutgers University. In each of the past seven years (2005-2012), Mr. Schall has been selected by his peers in New Jersey as a “Super Lawyer” in the field of “Employment Litigation: Plaintiff.”
