Lobby Day 2015: Raising Our Voices For Change
April 23, 2015
9:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Kick off NELA’s 2015 Spring Seminar by joining NELA members from around the country for NELA’s Lobby Day 2015: Raising Our Voices For Change on Thursday, April 23. The tentative focus of Lobby Day 2015 includes issues that are of great importance to employee rights advocates, their clients, and the fair administration of justice: banning forced arbitration of employment claims; income averaging of lump-sum awards and restoring the tax-free status of non-economic damages in employment cases; and ensuring a fair and independent federal judiciary that reflects the experiential diversity of the legal profession.

There is no charge for participating in Lobby Day 2015, but pre-registration by March 20, 2015 is required. A Lobby Day Orientation & Briefing will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 9:30–10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Building, located at 100 Maryland Avenue, NE in Washington, DC.

Register for Lobby Day 2015

Once you register for Lobby Day, you will receive detailed information about the day’s schedule, preparing for your Hill visits, and more. NELA’s Legislative & Public Policy Office will work with participants, who will be responsible for making appointments with their Senators and Representative.

NELA Lobby Days are fun, exciting, and rewarding and you will make a difference! Nothing is more effective in persuading Congress than personal visits from constituents and community leaders who can explain how an issue affects their district, their state, and the nation. Please join us!
