United We Stand: Effectively Representing Immigrants In Employment Cases

The registration fee for this one-day program on March 7, 2013 is $85 for employee rights advocates, which includes NELA members, lawyers, paraprofessionals, law students, and staff attorneys of legal services, public interest, and government organizations who advocate on behalf of workers. The registration fee for all others is $150. Registration forms must be postmarked on or before February 15, 2013 to qualify for the early-bird registration rate. Registration after February 15, 2013 and on-site (subject to space availability) is $115 for employee rights advocates and $200 for all others. Preventing Wage Theft: A Two-Day Guide To Litigating Cases Involving Wages, Hours & Work

The early-bird registration fee for this two-day program on March 8–9, 2013 is $500 for NELA members and $750 for non-members. Registration forms must be postmarked on or before February 15, 2013 to qualify for this rate. From February 16 to March 1, 2013 the registration fee is $550 for NELA members and $800 for non-members. Registration after March 1 and on-site (subject to space availability) is $650 for NELA members and $900 for non-members. A reduced fee of $475 is available to NELA paraprofessional members and NELA members who are staff attorneys of legal services, public interest, and government organizations who register by March 1, 2013; registration after March 1 and on-site (subject to space availability) is $575. A special rate of $275 will be offered to NELA Law Student Members. Daily registration of $350 is offered for Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9 to NELA members only. The full registration fee includes attendance, the program manual on CD-ROM, two continental breakfasts, a boxed lunch, refreshments, and a reception. Daily registration fees include attendance for the registered day, the program manual on CD-ROM, and all scheduled food functions.

Payment

Registration fees and the purchase of program manuals for both programs can be paid by credit card (Discover, VISA, or MasterCard), or check made payable to NELA. Receipt of registration forms will be confirmed via email for individuals who provide an email address, otherwise confirmations will be sent via facsimile.

Continuing Legal Education Credit

Registrants who wish to receive credit towards mandatory continuing legal education requirements or specialist certification should supply the necessary forms to the Registrar at the time of the programs. NELA will provide certificates of attendance for the programs, but registrants will be responsible for submitting the appropriate documents to their jurisdictions and for any filing fees associated with their CLE applications. United We Stand: Effectively Representing Immigrants In Employment Cases has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California in the amount of 5.75 hours (based on 60 minutes). Preventing Wage Theft: A Two-Day Guide To Litigating Cases Involving Wages, Hours & Work has been approved for 11.5 credits (based on 60 minutes), of which 1.0 hours will apply to legal ethics. NELA certifies that the programs conform to the standards for approved activities prescribed by the rules and regulations of the State Bar of California governing minimum continuing legal education. NELA is an accredited continuing legal education provider in California, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Vermont, and West Virginia.

Directory Of Participants

Participants who register on or before February 15, 2013 will be listed in the "Directory of Participants" for the programs. An updated "Directory of Participants" will be distributed via email 4-6 weeks after the program.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations for both programs must be submitted in writing to NELA. Registrants who cancel in writing on or before February 22, 2013 will receive a refund minus a $50 administrative charge. Those who cancel after this date and no-show registrants will not receive a refund, but will be mailed the program manual on CD-ROM. Contact Us
