The National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) is the country’s largest organization of lawyers who exclusively or primarily represent employees in cases involving employment discrimination, illegal workplace harassment, wrongful termination, denial of employee benefits, and other employment-related matters.

Founded in 1985, NELA and its 69 state and local Affiliates have more than 4,000 members nationwide. Thriving circuit, state, and local Affiliates across the country enable NELA to accomplish more for workers’ rights than we could alone.

A Regular Member of NELA is any member of the bar in the United States who can certify that 51% or more of his/her employment related legal representation is on behalf of employees. Regular members in good standing are eligible to vote and serve on NELA's Executive Board, and have access to The NELA Exchange.
