Vicki Kuftic Horne opened her practice in 1994 after nine years as an associate and later shareholder in a Pittsburgh law firm, representing clients at all levels of federal and state courts and three years in public employment. More than thirty years of her 4 decade practice has been with the law firm she founded and for which she is managing member. Ms. Horne has a lengthy history of successful civil jury trials in both federal and state courts and has served as trial counsel of record in more than a hundred cases, and for both employees and employers, as a result of which she was invited to Fellowship in the prestigious Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County (President Elect, 2017; Officer 2011 – 2017; former Member, Board of Governors; Chair, Membership Committee 2010-2011).
Her own practice has focused in employment law, civil, and securities litigation. Ms. Horne has represented plaintiffs in courts and before administrative agencies in employment-related injuries and losses including wage payment and equal pay, contract breach, defamation, unfair competition, discrimination, harassment, termination and retaliation; before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on behalf of investors for unfair trade practices, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence and fraud and on behalf of brokers and advisors in employment matters; and in the trial of general business and civil claims. Ms. Horne is qualified by FINRA as a securities arbitrator.
