About Us

NELA St. Louis is a membership-based organization that is comprised of lawyers who advise and represent employees in matters arising out of the workplace. The purposes of NELA St. Louis are to protect and advance employee rights, to educate the organization’s members and the public regarding issues that affect employees, and to assist and support lawyers who represent employees in employment-related claims.

Members of NELA St. Louis represent employees in many different types of workplace disputes, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, whistleblowing, breach of contract, unpaid commissions, and minimum wage and overtime violations.

NELA St. Louis is an affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA). NELA was founded in 1985 to provide assistance and support to lawyers in protecting the rights of employees against the greater resources of their employers. NELA is the country's only professional organization that is comprised exclusively of lawyers who represent employees in cases involving employment discrimination, employee benefits, and other employment-related matters. NELA has a membership of lawyers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as state and local affiliates around the country.
